
Weight loss has some important indicators to help those in their weight loss programs. Most Americans have anywhere from three bowel movements per day to some three per/week. If you fall in this range, you are considered "normal". In a 1982 study by Dross man and others these statistics were found. There are day-to-day variations in frequency; however most of you will still fall well within this finding.

You may be aware of factors such as traveling and eating different foods you may not be accustomed to eating. Also some women often find a change in their movements during their period. Higher temperatures can encourage more bowel movements, and colder conditions may reduce movements.
